Getting Ready for Your Window Cleaning Appointment: A Las Vegas Homeowner’s Checklist
Las Vegas dust has a way of showing up on every window, and sprinkler spots can make the view even worse. Once your cleaning is scheduled, a little preparation helps us reach the glass safely and work around your home with care.
Here’s a simple checklist to use before your Neon Window Cleaning appointment.
1. Review the services you booked
Check whether your appointment covers exterior windows, interior windows, or both. If you’d like help with solar screens, heavy hard-water buildup, or residue from a recent remodel, mention it ahead of time so we can confirm the work and pricing.
Our window cleaning service page explains what’s included and which treatments are priced separately. If you have a question about your estimate, ask before appointment day.
2. Clear the space around indoor windows
For interior cleaning, move small furniture, plants, picture frames, and other belongings away from the windows where you can do so comfortably. Clear windowsills and put fragile or valuable items somewhere safe.
Open curtains and raise blinds that are easy to operate. If a blind is stuck or a large piece of furniture blocks access, let us know. Avoid heavy lifting or forcing anything that doesn’t move easily.
3. Make a clear path outside
Take a quick walk around the areas we’ll be cleaning. Move lightweight patio furniture, toys, garden tools, and hoses that could block access or create a tripping hazard.
Let us know about tight side yards, locked courtyards, or windows behind large planters. You don’t need to climb a ladder, get onto the roof, or tackle an awkward obstacle yourself. Flag it so we can discuss access.
4. Plan for gates, entry, and pets
Confirm how we’ll access the areas included in your appointment. If your neighborhood has a staffed gate or special entry instructions, arrange access ahead of time.
Keep pets comfortably secured away from the work area, including outdoor spaces we’ll need to enter. This helps prevent an unexpected escape while doors or gates are being used. Keep children clear of equipment and active cleaning areas, too.
5. Close windows before exterior cleaning
Check that the windows scheduled for exterior cleaning are fully closed. Tell us about any window that won’t close properly or has a known leak.
If sprinklers spray the windows or surrounding work area, avoid running them during the appointment. Sprinkler overspray can also leave fresh mineral spots on newly cleaned glass, so it’s worth checking where the spray lands.
6. Point out anything that needs special care
Before work begins, mention cracked glass, loose screens, damaged frames, window film, or special coatings. Share any care instructions you have from the manufacturer.
Also point out stubborn spots or recently completed painting and construction. Knowing about these details helps us assess the right approach before cleaning starts.
7. Keep your questions handy
If you have priority rooms or concerns about access, tell us ahead of time. A quick conversation can clear up the details and help everyone know what to expect.
